Targeted Writing For Your Niche: Genres & Themes

There are countless flavours and varieties of writing. Not everyone can pull off the niche writing you need.

You may need a writer, but have found that most writers have only limited understanding of your genre. They may have fantastic writing abilities, but their lack of understanding means the writing somehow misses the mark. It just doesn’t quite cut it for your niche market.

To their credit, they may attempt to research your field. However, they’re starting from scratch, only gaining a remedial knowledge of the subject. For your niche market, that may not be enough.

Do you require writers and members of your team with specialized knowledge? We take pride in our abilities to write in almost any genre. However, we are up close and personal in a few niches and genres of targeted writing.

We help you help your clientele and readers with empathy, compassion and practical wisdom.

Mindful Self-Care

Since the late 1990s, Renée has been offering general support groups and one-on-one mentoring to women. Her desire is to facilitate the space for others to make personal, like-hearted connections in their communities.

She began facilitating emotional wellness groups, workshops, retreats, online support groups and women’s circles in Calgary, Alberta in the 90s. Eventually she went on to offer them while travelling through the southern United States, then moving to Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada.

Over the years, she recognized an emerging trend in requests for specialized events: the need for learning about self-care and mindful self-care practices. She developed specialized events for specific groups, including for the LGBTQ community, caregivers, and women in addiction recovery.

Through websites and social media, Renée offered inspiration via a mindfulness and self-care blog. After decades of working with recovered addicts in mindful self-care education and support, her knowledge, experience and ability to connect with readers through the written word will give a personal, warmer touch to your addiction writing projects.

Military

Jeff served nearly nine years in uniform as a full time, regular member of the Canadian Armed Forces from 1976 to 1985.

Trained in Cornwallis and Halifax, Nova Scotia, and in Borden, Ontario he was deployed dozens of times across the Pacific and beyond.

He was a member of the ships company of a pair of warships: HMCS Qu’appelle and HMCS Provider during the height of the tensions of the Cold War. He was also posted for three years at CFB Borden, Ont.; and at the Connaught Ranges near Ottawa, Ont., and at the French Language School at CFB St. Jean in Quebec.

Jeff has written many stories and editorials with a military theme. His experiences in uniform, his years in journalism school, and his keen awareness of historical and political context offer readers a unique and valuable perspective.

From interesting and compelling profiles of serving members to riveting descriptive narratives, Jeff’s firsthand knowledge and love of history bring a much-needed realistic and educational edge to his stories.

When it comes to writing about the military, Jeff believes deeply in the importance of respect, valour and honour when it comes to presenting the lives and times of our service men and women.
